Tips
from the TAs:
- Slow Down when you deliver your
presentation. Most students speak much faster than they
should.
- Work on your Poise: Stand
tall. OK to have natural hand movements or to walk around some, but return to the neutral position.
Avoid: slow Rock n Roll, hands in pockets, leaning on desk,
crossing legs.
- Remember your reflection
folder is due at the beginning of lab the week following your
persuasive and choice presentation. Late penalty: -10% the
first week late, -20% the next week, No credit (zero) the week after
that.
- Work on Speech Organization: Follow
the Rubric carefully: Clear introduction, preview clear, transitions
obvious, powerful conclusion.
