  7. Watch Jill Bolte Taylor's TED Talk (question on exam)

Tips from the TAs:

  1. Slow Down when you deliver your presentation.  Most students speak much faster than they should.
  2. Work on your Poise: Stand tall.  OK to have natural hand movements or to walk around some, but return to the neutral position.  Avoid: slow Rock n Roll, hands in pockets, leaning on desk, crossing legs.
  3. Remember your reflection folder is due at the beginning of lab the week following your persuasive and choice presentation.  Late penalty: -10% the first week late, -20% the next week, No credit (zero) the week after that.
  4. Work on Speech Organization: Follow the Rubric carefully: Clear introduction, preview clear, transitions obvious, powerful conclusion.
