Active Minds at UVM is a student-run organization that works to educate and empower all young adults by providing them with the resources and information they need regarding mental health and mental illness. We are dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, helping to identify the symptoms of mental illness, and acting as a liaison between the student body and the mental health community. We act to spread our mission and achieve our goals through planned events, speakers, panels, discussions, movie nights, and other activities to get the entire student body involved.

Everyone has mental health. There are commonalities in the human mind regardless of one’s place on the mental health spectrum. The mission of Active Minds at UVM is to spread awareness of the common challenges that affect aspects of everyday life. Active Minds at UVM works to eliminate the stigma associated with identifying personal needs and well being while challenging social norms around mental health and mental illness. Active Minds at UVM will educate people about mental health and serve as a liaison for associated resources.
