Annual Meeting Minutes

Present : Judy Corey, Gay Craig, Russ Agne, Cassie Major, Bruce Parks, Roni Donnenfeld, Claudia Vanderborght, Kathy Renfrew, David Ely, Judy Allard, Dawn (Gay’s last years student teacher)

First order of business: Election of Officers

Kathy Renfrew- President

Gail Hall- President Elect

Claudia Vanderborght- Vice President

Judy Corey- Treasurer

Gay Craig- Secretary

Second Item- Approve Treasurer’s Report

Discussion- loss of income from VT-NEA because we are not doing anything on Thursday or Friday. Judy Allard suggested that we consider doing a couple of science workshops on Thursday. David Ely said he has one he could do for high school. We need one for elementary school. Judy will send proposal forms to Cassie and others who might be interested.

Recommendations-

NSTA & VSTA membership

some sort of gimmick- Give each new member something. Consider talking to some companies about token gifts

Connecting to Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, etc.- discount price to get in if you are a member of VSTA

Bruce reported that he and Pam Quinn will be checking out the Holiday Inn and getting back to us on the Pathways conference.

Next meeting November 9, 2001 at the VISMT Montpelier office. Please get in touch with Judy if you are not staying for dinner

Cassie will contact Pam Quinn about attending our next meeting as well as confirming our use of the room at VISMT.
