Our management development seminars designed specifically for mid-to high-level managers, leaders and decision-makers. These seminars provide you with essential, practical skills and a working knowledge of how to compete in a dynamic global economy. Embedded in our teaching is the goal to foster recognition of the importance of ethical, social, and environmental responsibility in the context of a profitable business. Intensive one-day, or two-day sessions help you minimize your time away from work.

The process to ensure you get results from the VBC Management Development Seminars includes:

  • Pre-evaluations: Designed as a self-assessment of your existing knowledge in each content area and an evaluation of your expectations for learning in an upcoming seminar or custom training program. This lets the instructor or trainer know the knowledge gaps of the incoming attendees to best structure the content for the desired outcomes.

  • Seminar format: Designed to guarantee take-home knowledge and applicable skills. Utilizing the peer-to-peer resources your fellow “students” and the instructor’s ability to facilitate useful discussions, our seminars combine theory and practice in a setting conducive to relevant information-sharing and problem-solving.
  • Post-evaluations: A check-in to see how you have applied your knowledge to your work and to bring to light any additional skill gaps.
  • Instructor follow-up: Instructors of the Vermont Business Center are available to their students after each seminar. In this way, questions that arise as classroom theory goes into work-place practice can be addressed with the help of the instructor.
