The Undergraduate Writing Center is currently hosting monthly write-in events and a weekly thesis-writers writing group. We are also celebrating International Writing Centers Week!
Monthly Write-Ins
Join fellow students on the last Wednesday of each month (February 28, March 27, and April 24) from 7-9 pm in 001B, the classroom right next to the Writing Centers on the Ground Floor of the Howe Library. Tea, snack bars, and a friendly writing tutor provided. No registration required.
Thesis-Writers Writing Group
Are you writing an Honors Thesis or Capstone Project? Join fellow students every Thursday of the spring semester from 5-7 pm. We meet in 001B, the classroom right next to the Writing Centers on the Ground Floor of the Howe Library. Tea, snack bars, and a friendly writing tutor provided. No registration required; however, we'd love to hear about your project! Share your details via our survey.
Share the Love! International Writing Centers Week
International Writing Centers Week occurs annually during the week of Valentine's Day! We marked the week by inviting strudents to:
- Show the writing center or their writing tutor some love by adding to our appreciation board near our reception desk in Howe Library.
- Give a shout out to someone who inspired them (perhaps a friend, parent, author, teacher, or influencer) by adding their name to our poster display in the lobby of Howe Library.
- Grab a piece of chocolate in the Howe Memorial Library lobby on Valentine's Day.
