Roundabout Traffic Modeling

Dr. Aultman-Hall and Ph.D. student Nathan Belz will complete three studies in this project. The first is a spatial evaluation of roundabout acceptance and rejection in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The second is a study of how roundabout geometry and turning volumes impact entry leg capacity. The third is development of a framework and method to simulate gap forcing behavior at roundabouts in a traffic simulation model.
