Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is the University of Vermont's research administration office. Its mission is to provide excellent administrative support to faculty in their pursuit of funding for research and scholarly activity while ensuring compliance with required terms and conditions. OSP is organized into two units:
Pre-Award Services
Staff members help to identify funding sources, assist in the preparation of proposal budget details, facilitate the administrative review and approval process, and review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
Research Protections Office
This office oversees the university's human subjects protection program, the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
