Student Mentors (Please note -- this project is no longer funded and ended June, 2007)

If you are a UVM Department of Education faculty member and need help with electronic portfolios, the Portfolio Connection may be able to provide students to assist you!
If you are a UVM Department of Education student and have technology skills in web publishing, know how to create digital images and video, and understand basic file management, the Portfolio Connection can hire you to work with UVM faculty and students to develop electronic portfolio artifacts.


Earn $$$ as a Student Mentor
  • Work with UVM Faculty and their students in CESS and Arts and Sciences
  • Earn $11/hour; schedule flexible
  • Examples of Work
    • One-on-one software instruction
    • Create artifacts for electronic portfolios
    • Support faculty and students with web-based portfolios (created in Mozilla or html editors)
    • Create digital videos and/or images
    • Teach electronic portfolio software tools
  • Supervision from PT3 Grant Staff
 
Earn UVM Credit as Student Mentor
  • Work with UVM Faculty and their students in CESS and Arts and Sciences
  • Earn one to four credits through EDEL 197 (15 hours/credit). By permission of instructor, Dr. Joyce Morris.
  • Examples of Work
    • One-on-one software instruction
    • Create artifacts for electronic portfolios
    • Support faculty and students with web-based portfolios (created in Mozilla or html editors)
    • Create digital videos and/or images
    • Teach electronic portfolio software tools
