Mary Lou's Story > Bookmarks

The following is a list of resources that Mary Lou has found valuable to herself and her students:

1. HTML Cheat Sheet
"I never really learned any HTML but if you want to change some fonts and do a few different things in WebCT, it's good to have a little cheat sheet of html. There's lots of free resources on the web for this."

2. Microsoft Design Gallery
"Don't waste a lot of time looking for free clip art. What you'll find isn't worth it. The Microsoft Design Gallery on the Microsoft Office support page has great clip art... many of the icons I use in WebCT are from there.

3. Google Images
"I occassionally will search Google images for images. The sea horse I used for the 209 class came from a Google search."*

* Note that if you're using images from other web sites in your course materials, you should be familiar with the TEACH Act, Fair Use guidelines, and other copyright-related issues. You can find information about copyright for UVM faculty at: http://www.uvm.edu/~ctl/copyright.html

4. UVM Center for Teaching and Learning
"I would always recommend any UVM faculty wanting help with WebCT to contact the Center for Teaching and Learning."
