After the first week of his course, in which students would be doing their student teaching, Charlie asked students to talk about their concerns and what they were excited about. He shared student responses, along with some photos of the students, in the "Interaction" section of his course web site. One student response: "I am most concerned about putting all I have learned in three years together for my student teaching semester. I have so many different resources and skills that I have learned but when and where to use them will be the challenge. I am also concerned about the portfolio but I am sure once I get going on it I will feel better."

One student response to the foundation concept of 'Freedom to Choose': "I think in order for a classroom to run in a balanced yet structured environment there must be certain options, made by the teachers, in an attempt for the students to have freedom to choose; the student may choose unwisely but they will know their consequence."
