SOIL TESTING
The following tests are available:
Standard Fertility Tests
Sample kits are available for each test from
us,
from UVM
Extension offices, and from some garden stores (have your local
store
contact
us if you'd like it to carry soil kits). These kits
include a mailer,
sample bag, and information form. Turn-around time is
estimated
to be seven to ten business days.
When using the mailer, place the soil sample in the
plastic bag
(half
full), place the plastic bag inside the cloth bag and tie the
drawstring
tightly, place the information form and a check made out to "UVM
Testing
Service Fund" in the envelope, seal the envelope, and add the
proper
postage.
You may also download a form and
mail the
sample in
your own plastic bag.
If you are submitting a number of samples, it might be easier to
put
all the
samples and forms (for field crops, us the multiple fields form)
in a box, rather than use the individual mailers. Be sure the
plastic
sample
bags are labeled so that we can match the bag with the
corresponding
form.
Results will be mailed to you between 9-14 days after we receive
the
samples.
