Program Overview

The UVM Comprehensive Faculty Mentoring Program is a collaborative effort between the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and various academic units/divisions, including the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs coordinates group mentoring programs available to all faculty, regardless of their academic rank. Additionally, the academic units offer personalized mentoring opportunities for faculty members tailored to their unique professional practices and expectations.

"At the heart of UVM's faculty recruitment and retention strategic plans lies a strong commitment to faculty mentoring. We recognize the significance of ensuring that faculty members possess a comprehensive understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and the available resources to support them throughout their careers at UVM. The Comprehensive Faculty Mentoring Program is steadfast in its dedication to providing support to our faculty, fostering a deep sense of belonging, and nurturing their growth and success at UVM."

- Jane E. Okech, Ph.D., NCC.,
