U.S.-Sino Pathway Program (USPP)
With successful completion, receive guaranteed admisssion to a top U.S. university, credits toward a bachelor's degree, and comprehensive English language preparation.
The US-Sino Pathway Program (USPP) is a multi-component program created by the Consortium of North American Universities (CNAU). Through the USPP, students in China are prepared for transition to a Bachelor’s degree program in one of the outstanding US-based consortium institutions. Available in 9 cities in China, the USPP offers guaranteed admission upon successful completion of the program to a CNAU member institution without requiring for a TOEFL or IELTS score. In the USPP, students receive a year of course credits towards a bachelor’s degree, comprehensive English preparation, and a supportive learning environment. Students who successfully complete the program will earn 28-33 semester hours of credit before matriculating to their destination institution as standing sophomores.

Here are the steps for participating in the U.S.-Sino Pathway Program
- Apply to one of the eleven Kaplan Education Centres located throughout China.
- Complete the
program at one of the Kaplan Education Centres of one full year of college-level coursework in core academic subjects including English for academic purposes, calculus, chemistry, business and engineering as well as american studies and information technology. Successful completion means guaranteed admission to a participating U.S. university. - Transition to our U.S. campuses begins with a Summer Bridge Program held here at the University of Vermont or at Northeastern University in Boston.
