Explore International Education at UVM

The Office of International Education (OIE) is responsible for two overarching functions: assisting students and faculty engaged in study abroad programs and assisting international students, scholars, faculty and staff studying and working on our campus.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."

- Mark Twain, American author, from The Innocents Abroad (1869)

Study Abroad

Each year hundreds of UVM students study abroad through many different programs, including more than 20 different bilateral partnerships. Let the OIE help find the best program for you.
