Great UVM places ... just to name a few:

UVM's natural areas: From Shelburne Pond and Mount Mansfield to acreage at the Redstone Quarry, UVM's natural areas provide resources for teaching, research and leisurely hikes.

Morgan Horse Farm: Visitors flock to this National Historic Site where these "truly American" horses were first bred in the late 1800s.

Proctor Maple Research Center: A field research station established in 1946. Visitors are welcome to see first-hand how maple syrup is made.

ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain: ECHO educates and delights people about the ecology, culture, history, and opportunities for stewardship of the Lake Champlain Basin.

Greenhouse Complex: Including indoor facilities and an outdoor nursery, the UVM greenhouses are used for teaching, research and extension. The 8,000-square-foot indoor facility hosts many visitors each year.

Horticulture Research Complex (Hort. Farm): A 97-acre farm of trees, shrubs, perennials, apples and small fruit. While the Hort Farm is used for agricultural research and the instruction of UVM classes, it also is open to visitors.
