Eligibility for the UVM Honors College

Transfer students with a minimum grade point average of 3.40 from their former institution are eligible to apply for sophomore admission to UVM's selective Honors College. A residential college enrolling some of the most capable students from the full spectrum of academic programs at the University, the Honors College provides students with a rigorous, multi-disciplinary academic challenge that complements and enriches the entire undergraduate experience.

Students interested in becoming members of the Honors College must be planning for three additional years of study at UVM in order to complete the Honors curriculum. Students must also apply both to the University of Vermont and to the UVM Honors College (the Honors College invitation process for transfer students is separate from the UVM admission process). For more information on joining the honors community, explore the Honors College or contact the college at (802) 656-9100 or email honors.college@uvm.edu.
