Polk is the recipient of the Stamford Young Artists' Award. As an active freelance musician Ms. Polk has taught on the faculty of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School Division, the Longy School of Music, and the International Chamber Music Festival and Institute at the St. Mark's School. Suzanne is a performing member of the Chamber Music Foundation of New England in Boston, Massachusetts and the 802 Quartet in Burlington, Vermont. She was appointed artistic director of the 2010 International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition at Carnegie Weill Hall.

Groups accompanied: Suzanne has performed with the Arden String Quartet, the Virag Piano Trio, the Boston Duo, the multi media ensemble Melodic Vision. She has also appeared with the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Springfield Symphony, Vermont Symphony Orchestra,Burlington Chamber Orchestra, Opera North and the Manadnock Music Festival.
