| Background Dr. Gilmartin received his Ph.D. in 1983 under the direction of Dr. J. Thomas Parsons at the University of Virginia. Dr. Gilmartin's postdoctoral research was carried out in the laboratory of Dr. Max Birnstiel in Zürich Switzerland and at Rockefeller University and Duke University under the direction of Dr. Joseph Nevins. He joined the faculty of MMG in 1990 and is the recipient of an American Cancer Society Junior Faculty Award. |
