| Background Dr. Heckman received her Ph.D. from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1976 under the direction of Professor U.L. RajBhandary, and also did postdoctoral work in the same group at MIT. She was a faculty member in the Chemistry Department at Indiana University 1981-1988. She joined the UVM faculty in 1994. |
