Asian StudentsThis Year's Focus

In light of the US-Sino Pathway Program being developed at UVM, Maze 2010 has adopted a specific focus on Student Life and Perspective. In addition to the normal offerings, we have added a number of workshops on topics as varied as general student culture, the international student experience and Chinese culture and society.

Student Life and Perspective

Offerings chosen for their focus on Student Life and Perspective include:

  • The Changing Face of Student Life
  • Alcohol Messages on Campus
  • Trends and Challenges in Enrollment Management
  • Communicating with Non-Native English Speakers
  • Internationalizing UVM
  • Who Are UVM's International Students?
  • Recognizing Violence as a Part of Campus Culture
  • Understanding Cross-Cultural Communication
  • Chinese Culture and Society

Plus workshops in a variety of other important areas.

Maze Schedule

  • Plenary Presentation: 8:30 to 9:30
  • Session 1: 9:45 to 10:45
  • Session 2: 11:00 to 12:00
  • Lunch: 12:15 to 1:30
  • Session 3: 1:45 to 3:45

Registration Details

You may register online for the plenary presentation and one workshop during each of the three sessions—plus lunch. You will receive confirmation of your choices by e-mail shortly after you submit your registration. A couple of days before Maze you will receive an e-mail reminder, along with a location for each of the sessions.
