Hello all,

We have been notified of an internship opportunity to start immediately with the Burlington City Community and Economic Development Office, to work on a housing study project. Below is the description:

Housing and neighborhood data intern

The person in this internship will work with City and University staff and assist in gathering and analyzing housing and other data relating to neighborhoods significantly impacted by student renters.

Internship Description:

    Assisting in categorizing current housing stock most impacted by students living off campus
    Housing analysis will include data on structures by number of units and household tenure (rental/owner-occupied)
    Work with the City and University to identify tools to encourage a healthy mix of renters and owners in neighborhoods and to promote better quality rentals
    Attend meetings with City, University and community stakeholders and present findings around housing in neighborhoods
