ENVS 195 Landscape Photography

This course explores the Vermont landscape through the eyes of the naturalist and photographer. Students will use the camera as a tool to discover and interpret the landscape around them. This is a field-based course that uses development of photographic skills to explore the natural world and our own relationship to it. Assignments will include weekly work based on field trips, a semester-long photographic journal, and a detailed study of a specific place of the student's choosing. Readings will be selected from both the photographic and naturalistic traditions.
