The exercises presented here are designed as a teaching tool to explore the occupancy models described in the book, “Occupancy Estimation and Modeling,” by Darryl MacKenzie, James D. Nichols, J. Andrew Royle, Kenneth Pollock, Larrisa L. Bailey, and James E. Hines.  You should purchase this book before getting started.

The exercises were developed and written by Therese (Terri) Donovan and James (Jim) Hines.  Each exercises consists of a spreadsheet exercise, followed by an analysis in programs PRESENCE, MARK, or GenPres.  In the near future, we will be collaborating with Andy Royle to add coding in program R to each exercise.
