Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory: Education Program

Educational Programs

In addition to housing a variety of laboratory spaces to support our research projects, the Rubenstein Lab also is home to a state of the art teaching lab featuring a digital projection system and teaching station, compound and dissecting microscopes, and other laboratory equipment capable of supporting a variety of educational programs. This space is also available to the UVM community for workshops or meetings. Contact Meghan Rogalus for more information on booking this space.

Docked in the boatslip next to the lab, the University of Vermont's research vessel Melosira is a key feature to many of the teaching activities on Lake Champlain. Lake Champlain Live! is a new program on the Melosira which offers students the opportunity to learn first hand about the study of limnology and collect their own data on Lake Champlain with the aid of professional educators and/or lab research staff. For details on this exciting option for taking students out on the lake, click here.
