Home | Vermont International Education Best Practices Conference

Sponsored by Education Vermont USA and NAFSA Vermont

Vermont education leaders,

Due to a lower than anticipated registration count, and some challenges in scheduling around the Thanksgiving holiday, we have decided to reschedule the Vermont International Education Best Practices Conference to Monday, March 4, 2013.

As a registrant for the conference you have two options:
1.) Keep your registration for the event on Monday, March 4.
2.) Request a refund by

Our keynote speaker from the CollegeBoard, Mr. Clay Hensley, Director of International Strategy and Relationships, will be presenting on the new date, and the agenda for the March event will be sent to all participants in early January.

Thank you in advance for understanding this change. It is important to Education Vermont USA and all of the participants that the conference have as many insights and perspectives as possible through robust attendance, and we feel this is the best decision to get us a great event.

If you have any questions, please contact me at Mortimer@champlain.edu or 802.651.5911

Many thanks, Ian Mortimer

Education Vermont USA is proud to announce that registration is open for the 2nd annual Vermont International Education Best Practices Conference.

More than 70 people attended the inaugural conference, and based on the feedback from the surveys, it was a great experience. This year’s agenda highlights the positive feedback from last year’s event, and incorporates some of the suggestions for improvement. We are excited about hosting you and your colleagues on March 4th. Conferences like these further position our state as one of the most knowledgeable and effective international education communities in the nation.

This year’s agenda will further the dialogues and information on international student marketing and admissions, study abroad trends and information, approaches to international students services, international students in Vermont private high schools, opportunities for shared travel and more.

The conference agenda will be sent out in January and the final registration confirmation in late February. If you have colleagues from outside Vermont that would like to attend, please encourage them; the more participants we have, the more learning can take place.

If you have any questions, please contact Ian Mortimer at Mortimer@champlain.edu or (802) 651 – 5911. I/we look forward to an educational and enjoyable day on March 4th.

Registration is $40 (registration fee includes on campus parking, continental breakfast, lunch and beverages during the day).
