Workshop I: Using Emotional Intelligence to Foster Civility Across Power and Privilege in the Workplace

Power and privilege, a reality in diverse environments, evoke strong emotions. Developing the capacity to understand and manage those feelings and communicate effectively with others across differences is a key competence in today’s diverse environments. This session helps participants understand the elements of emotional intelligence critical to effective interactions across differences and gain methods to communicate in respectful, engaging and inclusive ways.
