Interdisciplinary Facility: Clinical Simulation Laboratory

The Clinical Simulation Lab is a collaborative effort of the UVM College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the University of Vermont Medical Center. Located on the second floor of Rowell, the lab serves as a centralized hub in the training of health care professionals. Students work with task trainers, virtual reality simulators, high-fidelity mannequins and a variety of other technologies to develop their skills.

Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Eleanor M. Luse Center is an on-campus audiology, speech and language clinic. It is the primary teaching facility for the Communication Sciences & Disorders program. The center provides high quality hearing health care in a private and professional setting. Speech and language services include voice therapy and speech therapy as well as cutting edge treatment for stuttering in children and adults.

Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences

The Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences Department is located in the Rowell Building, which is adjacent to the College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Medical Center. The department has well-equipped lecture rooms and student laboratories. In addition, all clinical internship sites specific to each program boast some of the best-rated facilities in the country.

Nursing

The Department of Nursing’s main office, faculty offices, and Clinical Simulation Lab are located on the second floor of the Rowell Building. The department is located close to the Dana Medical Library and the University of Vermont Medical Center, the primary clinical site for undergraduate nursing students.
