BIO

Dr. Marjorie Lipson is a scholar in the areas of reading, reading (dis)ability, assessment and school change. Her most recent research interests revolve around systemic reforms to integrate and connect general and special education in ways that provide all students with the instruction and contexts they need to succeed. She has continued her work in policy and research related to early reading difficulties, reading comprehension, and assessment.

Dr. Lipson was selected as a UVM University Scholar in 2009, and published widely in journals such as Reading Research Quarterly, Elementary School Journal, and Reading Teacher. Her text on the assessment of reading and writing difficulties is in its 5th edition.
