BIO

Dr. Hunter is a passionate supporter of graduate students preparing for careers as higher education and student affairs administrators. Working with master's degree and doctoral students, she strove to complicate their thinking about campus life and ways to support student learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Previously serving as Associate Dean of the College of Education Social Services and Chair of the Department of Counseling, Human Development and Family Science, her extensive experience included teaching a wide range of courses on Higher Education Student Affairs (HESA). She served as a board member of the Legal Issues in Higher Education annual conference and regularly presented at ACPA (American College Personnel Association), ASHE (Association for the Study of Higher Education), and other venues.
