BIO

Danielle Jatlow, MSW, LICSW, LADC serves as BSW Program Coordinator and Lecturer in the Department of Social Work where she teaches across the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) Programs. She also serves as a Principle Consultant in CTTA (Consultation, Training, and Technical Assistance) Services for social service leaders and agencies, as well as a consultant for and supporter of projects where creative arts and mental health intersect. 

For more than 20 years, Danielle has been working with adolescents, young adults, and their families, first in San Francisco, then New York, and now in Burlington, Vermont. Prior to settling in Vermont, she worked with youth experiencing housing insecurity in San Francisco and was a Coro Community Fellow with a focus on ethical, effective public sector leadership. Danielle’s work at The Family Center in New York City included working with youth and families impacted by HIV and other medical health issues. At Family Justice (Vera Institute of Justice), she helped to develop a family-to-family mentoring program for incarcerated adults returning to their community. In San Francisco, Danielle founded a literary magazine, which published writers and poets often overlooked by more mainstream publishers.

Danielle has presented on a variety of topics focused on adolescent and family health and wellness for audiences such as the New England Consortium of Social Work Field Education Directors, Vermont Department of Health - Caring for Adolescents and Young Adults with Disordered Eating: A Multidisciplinary Training, National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NATCON) in Washington DC, Working Together Conference for School and Community Nurses, and the National AIA Resource Center, among others.

Danielle received her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work with Post-Master’s training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. She also makes art, has two daughters, loves long hikes with her friends and dog, and enjoys traveling as much as possible.
