Griggs and Decausemacker Receive Top Staff Awards
Paul Decausemacker, Art and Art History Department Technical Studio Supervisor, was chosen to receive the Award for Superior Technical Support. Salli Griggs, Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Sociolgy, received the Award for Superior Administrative Support. Read more.
UVM Hosts Successful First Mayor's Book Group
Burlington’s newest book club, the Mayor's Book Group, held its inaugural meeting last week at the University of Vermont. The event, which was hosted by UVM’s Humanities Center the evening of Nov. 12, drew a diverse attendance of 50 people, including members of the public, UVM faculty, and students. Read more.
Performing the Greeks
Most first-year students in the College of Arts and Sciences begin the fall semester enrolled in a semester-long seminar course as part of the Teacher-Advisor Program or TAP, choosing from course titles that range from Nineteenth-Century Monsters (English) to Health Care in America (Sociology), from Gender and the Economy (Economics) to Global Climate Change and Sustainability (Geology). With over fifty courses to consider, it can be a daunting selection process for incoming students. Read more.
