Program Coordinator

Emily Baker works as the Program Coordinator for the Morgan Horse Farm. Emily joined the staff in January 2023 after graduating with a Master's in Historic Preservation from the University of Vermont. Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Forensics. Emily has always had a passion for sharing the strange and unusual side of history and shining the light on lost history. During undergrad, Emily was given a chance to participate in the McNair program; Emily worked alongside her anthropology professor Dr. Svetlana Peshkova and local Indigenous leaders to create an ethnographic report on Indigenous identities in the 20th and 21st centuries. In the Summer of 2022, Emily interned as a Visual Information Specialist with the National Underground Railroad Network To Freedom, where she conducted original research on  Textiles and The Underground Railroad.  Emily hopes she can bring her love of history and her unique perspective of the world to the Morgan Horse Farm.
