Sherri Noxel, 2014 Co-Host
Sherri Noxel, Ph.D., joined the Oregon State University Austin Family Business Program in 2007 and now serves as Director and A.E. Coleman Chair of Family Business. Her doctorate is in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from the Ohio State University and her academic interest is in the college experience of family business students.
With an emphasis on education, Dr. Noxel designs programs and networking opportunities while working closely with Oregon’s leading family enterprises and the professional advisor communities. She currently chairs Oregon’s Century Farm and Ranch Program Committee that has recognized over 1,100 agricultural enterprises. Dr. Noxel teaches the family business management course for senior students, developed a study skills course for first-year students and hosts Oregon’s annual conference for post-secondary students from family businesses. Her presentation at the 2011 Family Firm Institute Research and Education Symposium focused on opportunities to engage new generations of family business students in large research universities.
