The Grossman School of Business has positioned itself to be a forerunner in Entrepreneurship and Family Business Research and Education for both undergraduate and graduate students. We offer many entrepreneurial experiential learning opportunities for students including business pitch and case competitions, and have reached out to the business community to work with, learn from and honor outstanding family run companies.

Family Business Initiative at UVM

The Family Business Initiative at the University of Vermont is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the network of family and privately owned businesses. For business owners in Vermont, the Family Business Initiative at UVM is the best navigational tool to guide them through the issues of governance, strategy and succession by providing confidential access to other owners, resources and peer groups. Global Family Enterprise Case Competition

This first of its kind case competition will match undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in universities and colleges with the world's finest family business programs. Undergraduate and graduate students who will be enrolled at a college or university at the time of the competition (January 2014) are eligible to participate. Learn more

Family businesses are a major driver in the world economy. What may often start as an idea in the home, with determination and innovation grows into a business built to last. Entrepreneurship Club

The UVM Entrepreneurship Club is a faculty-led organization that helps students pursue entrepreneurship as a career path through discussion forums, guest speaker events, and start-up competitions. The Entrepreneurship Club is open to UVM students of all majors. Learn more
