At the School of Business Administration, we know how important the job search is. That is why we have a dedicated, full-time Career and Professional Development Advisor right here in Kalkin Hall to help students prepare to enter the working world.

Our Career and Professional Development Office

Sue SchlomSue Schlom comes to the Business School with years of experience working as a campus and corporate recruiter at companies like WM Wrigley Jr., General Mills, and Pepsi Co. Sue's primary goal is to provide our students with the tools and skills they need to launch successful job searches that will lead to full-time employment in the business world.

Professional Development

Our goal is to provide every student with the confidence that the education they receive here at the School of Business will prepare them for their future. We plan to do this by helping them:

  • Develop professional career-seeking skills
  • Create a professional resume and cover letter
  • Polish interview skills
  • Network with local businesses for internships and full-time employment

Seminars and Mock Interviews

Do you know the "Five Why's" used in interviews? Let us help you prepare for the job search by teaching you everything from self assessment and resume writing to interview preparation and networking skills during one of our many seminars scheduled throughout the semester. Then practice what you learn during a one-on-one mock interview. The skills you learn now will most definitely follow you long after you leave UVM. Learn more about the Interview Skills Seminar.
