The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is a central catalyst initiating
and supporting campus-wide efforts to enhance diversity in every aspect of the
student experience. OMA programs and projects are literally infused throughout
the university and, with one exception, include every school & college.
The Strategic Curriculum and Faculty Diversity Plan offers a variety of opportunities
supporting faculty research, curriculum development and publications. Faculty,
staff, students and the wider community participate in, benefit from, and/or
collaborate with OMA.
Opportunities are accessed through four main overlapping areas; efforts designed
to support curriculum and faculty diversity, co-curricular programs and events,
and conjoined projects or programs created to address specific issues within
the overarching rubric of diversity. A fourth category includes all other diversity
related efforts that fall outside of the above framework.
