Cello Sizing for Beginners

Cellos also come in a variety of sizes-3/4, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 to accomodate children as they grow.

There are several factors to consider when sizing a student to a cello:

1) Size of student's left hand - can the student's left hand comfortably reach the notes in first position? (see image at left)
