Account attributes give you specific details about an account.  Each type of account has account attributes that define the context from which the account will work within. All of the accounts have standard attributes such as account title, responsible person and department.

In addition, unique account attributes have been created for the various types of accounts. For example, an endowment account has an endowment type as an attribute. For a grant account, an agency account attribute is assigned to each restricted account.

Overall, it is recommended to use the appropriate screens assigned to your type of account. You will be able to view all of account attribute data assigned to your specific type of account.
