POSTER ACTIVITY  (15-20 minutes)

Go to the Genes data base to find information about the gene which is responsible for the phenotype, condition or disease you have chosen. There is no minimum or maximum amount of information to find - in the real world, the only criterion of quality is to do as much as necessary to do the job right.

Information of interest  includes the following:

  • The cytogenetic locus of your gene.
  • The genomic locus of your gene.
  • Introns, Exons and UTRs
  • Links to records of your gene in the Nucleotides data base.
  • Links to records of your gene in the Protein data base.
  • Links to records of related gene in other data bases.
  • Relevant citations to the function of the protein product of your gene.
