Save the Date - Tuesday, January 23, 2018

The Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs is pleased to announce the keynote speaker for UVM’s annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, Education and Learning Events January 16 – January 25, 2018. Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, named one of America’s 100 most influential Black leaders by Ebony magazine, will be this year’s keynote speaker.

Dr. Lamont Hill is an award-winning journalist and author of the New York Times bestseller Nobody: Casualties of America’s War on the Vulnerable, from Ferguson to Flint and Beyond. He is currently the host of BET News and a political contributor for CNN.

The keynote presentation with Dr. Lamont Hill will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in Ira Allen Chapel.  Please note, this is a ticketed event.  Tickets are FREE and available per the following schedule:

·         Tuesday, January 16, tickets available to the UVM community

·         Friday, January 19, tickets available to the general public

It is highly recommended that you get your tickets early as the number is limited.  Tickets are available at the following locations: Miller Information Desk (3rd floor) in the Dudley H. Davis Center, Registrar’s Office Student Service Center Kiosk in Waterman Building, and the Larner College of Medicine Dean’s Office during business hours.

The keynote presentation is sponsored by President Tom Sullivan, the Department of Student Life, and the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs.
