It might be the hardest-earned eight credits in higher education. In UVM's CREAM program -- the Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management -- a team of students cares for and manages their own dairy herd, dealing with everything from breeding decisions to giving vaccinations to doing barn chores. While the days start early, and the work is demanding, this experiential learning program has led to impressive outcomes for participants. Since 2012, every CREAM student who has applied to vet school -- a notoriously selective process -- has been accepted. Watch this video to see CREAM in action.
