Slovenian Chef Bozidar Marin will be in residence at the University of Vermont Feb. 20 and 21. The visit, sponsored by Sodexo Campus Services, is part of Sodexo’s 2014 Global Chef Spring Tour. The Global Chef Program is a month-long international chef residency that provides an opportunity for Sodexo international chefs to travel to different countries, sharing their authentic cuisine and culture with students, faculty, staff and the community.

Chef Marin is a head chef for Sodexo Maribor. He was born in Ptuj, a small state in Bresovica, Slovenia. He began his culinary career as an assistant cook after high school. Moving quickly through the ranks, in ten
 years he became the chef at Gostilna pri pošti, an upscale restaurant in Ptuj. He graduated from college in Maribor, Slovenia with a degree in hospitality and tourism.

Chef Marin joined Sodexo in 2003, starting as a cook at the Kuhinja Henkel Sodexo Maribor. Shortly thereafter he became the executive chef. Marin is currently working as the district manager, Restavracija Sodexo Slovenska Bistrica.
