Interested in professional development, travel, public health, or the Vermont experience? A new blog created by UVM Continuing and Distance Education (CDE) offers all that and more.

The blog – UVM Brainwaves – includes in-depth articles about health, business, education, travel, and all things Vermont through Q&A interviews, profiles and expert commentary. UVM Brainwaves highlights students, alumni, academic programs, distinguished faculty and local business professionals.

“Because we work with a diverse population of students and faculty from across the university, we have the ability to share so many rich, extraordinary stories from UVM and beyond,” said CDE Dean Cynthia Belliveau. “The UVM Brainwaves blog is a way for us to showcase UVM’s outstanding students, talented faculty and the entrepreneurial spirit of the Green Mountain State.”

The blog’s sections – health, business, education and travel – reflect Continuing and Distance Education’s key offerings, including public health, health care leadership, leadership and management, sustainable business, study abroad and its summer college program for high school students. The blog’s Vermont section highlights what differentiates UVM from other schools and its distinct sense of place.

Faculty who have already contributed to the UVM Brainwaves blog include Professors Jan Carney, Betty Rambur, Cynthia Belliveau, Meg O’Donnell, Joe Candido, Steven Kappel and Merryn Rutledge.
