The University of Vermont Department of Theatre presents The Heidi Chronicles, Feb. 14 - 24 on the stage of the Royall Tyler Theatre.

The Heidi Chronicles, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Wendy Wasserstein, is the final main stage production of the 2012/2013, a season which saw the Department of Theatre celebrating the work of women playwrights. Directed by Associate Professor Peter Jack Tkatch, The Heidi Chronicles captures the triumphs of women coming of age in the turbulent times from the 1960’s through the 1980’s. Heidi Holland juggles her career and personal life in a quest to “have it all” in this funny and deeply moving work that established Wasserstein’s place as one of America’s cherished female playwrights.

Winner of the Tony award, The Drama Desk and the New York Critics Circle Award for Best Play of 1989 The Heidi Chronicles is a fitting culmination to this season of plays that depict women’s struggle to overcome adversity as they remind us of the challenges that still exist in all walks of life.
