Students Encouraged to Donate Unwanted Items When Moving Out of Residence Halls

Students are asked to donate their unwanted stuff during move-out week to reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill and help local non-profit groups. The UVM Recycling program will be collecting clothing, food and household goods from all residence halls through May 12th.

Students living on-campus will find collection barrels in their residence hall main lobby. All items will be donated to local non-profit agencies. Last year, UVM students donated almost five tons-- that's 10,000 pounds-- of food, clothing and household items. For more info visit our Move-Out Donation and Recycling Webpage.
