Joe Sacco, known for his intrepid reporting in war and crisis zones, is one of the world's premier authors of nonfiction narrative comics and comic journalism. A Guggenheim Fellow, American Book Award winner, and New York Times bestselling writer, he counts among his works "Safe Area Gorazde", "Palestine", "The Great War", and the Ridenhour Book Prize-winning "Footnotes in Gaza". Joe Sacco's Burack Lecture is in conjunction with the Pulp Culture Comic Arts Festival and Symposium, October 19-21 at UVM.
