Faculty - In memoriam, Alfred Snider
Alfred C. Snider passed this last December. He was the Edwin W. Lawrence Professor of Forensics at the University of Vermont. He received his degrees from Brown University, Emerson College, and the University of Kansas. Professor Snider, known as “Tuna," was a very popular teacher who taught courses in debate, argumentation, persuasion and rhetorical analysis. He served as the Director of the World Debate Institute and the Lawrence Debate Union. He elevated the UVM Debate team to international prestige. He touched many lives in profound and inspiring ways. A memorial will be held at Ira Allen Chapel on April 29th at 4:00. Tuna will be greatly missed.
