About PATH 395 OL1
This course will provide an introduction to the publicly available data sets that can be used to conduct population health research, and an introduction to data analysis in R. Topics covered will include: selection of data source, importing data, descriptive analysis, data visualization, and introduction to regression analysis. Class meetings will include lecture and computer lab time in which students will work on independent projects with the guidance of the instructor. The course will utilize lessons from the datacamp.com platform. By the end of the course, students should feel comfortable conducting basic analysis in R. This course is intended to complement summer research activities.
