MATH 021 (Calculus 1) is an introduction to the calculus of functions of one variable. This will include an understanding of the concepts of limits, continuity, the definition of the derivative, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus; techniques and applications of differentiation; basic integration, including integration by substitution; and applications of integration including area and volume. Topics will be presented with a level of depth and rigor appropriate for students pursuing degrees in technical fields such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or the physical sciences. The computer algebra system Mathematica will be used throughout the course.

Section Expectation

This is an asynchronous online class that will have weekly deadlines. You will need to watch videos for each concept. Each week I will post a suggested schedule for that week with the content that will be covered and the assignments that will need to be completed along with the assessments.
