This is a beginner web design course where you will gain a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, working with images, beginning PHP programming, beginning database and web design so that you can create a functional web site. Students will learn how to make a web by understanding the underlying structure that all web sites are built from. Assignments will include website development, lesson plans that can be applied to your teaching and group practice grading sample work pulled from previous web design courses.

You can expect to work on the computer several hours each day (the actual amount of time will vary from person to person) I would plan on about 8 hours for each week and see how you do. Readings should take about 2 hours each week, 2 hour class meeting, 4 hours working on material. You may spend less or you may spend more depending on your comfort level.
